
DELTA STATE GETS PIONEER YOUTH PARLIAMENT
In line with its efforts at inculcating in the youths, core mindset and value re-orientation, the Delta State Government through the Ministry of Youth Development (MYD) has established a pioneer Youth Parliament in the State.

The Parliament made up of 29 youths drawn from each of the 29 State
Constituencies via a competitive selection were taken through various capacity building chains to equip them with the basic tenets of
legislative engagement and their roles as Youth Parliamentarians prior to the Parliament’s inauguration coming up on the 8th of September,2020.
Among dignitaries at the one day pre-inauguration capacity building held at the Delta State House of Assembly(DTHA) Press Center were the Commissioner for Youth Development, Comrade Michael Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, the Chairman House Committee on Youth and Sports, Hon. Fred Martins, member representing Patani Constituency, Hon. Jude Senebe, the Clerk of the House, Barr. Lyna Ocholor, the Deputy Clerk of the House, Barr. Otto Aghoghovwia, Permanent Secretary, MYD,
Directors of DTHA/MYD and their staff.
